Annabella

Annabella is one of the largest modern retail chains in Romania, with 57 stores all across the country and over 730 employees. The retail chain has four store formats to cover all market needs: Annabella A-Z Concept Store, Annabella Fresh, a special concept for fruits & vegetable retail, Annabella Supermarket and Annabella Express - the proximity shop. Annabella also features the Romanian brand Râureni that offers a large assortment of canned fruits and vegetables from local producers: delicious jams, 0% sugar-based ingredients, canned pickles, and highly appreciated products such as chestnut purée or rosehips paste. Annabella Supermarket focuses on offering a wide range of everyday items near their customers' homes, located close to the urban and residential areas. The supermarket requires long opening hours so that it's important to use efficient modern lighting solutions. Therefore, we installed our efficient Greentek Professional Line LED luminaires in the entire store. The most colorful products in the store - meat, fruits and vegetables, cheese, and bread, are easily affected by the quality of light. We installed luminaires with special light colors for enhancing every fresh food group: AGI special light color for fruits & vegetables BVF for cheese, natural fruit juices and salads FBS special color for fresh bread, pastries, and wine FSM special color for fresh meat We installed the special light colors into Caster track-mounted luminaires, with a wide range of distribution angles from the narrowest to the widest. Caster, an easily adjustable spotlight that rotates 350 degrees and pivots 90-degree, can be moved on the track with very little technical effort. The use of Caster track-mounted spotlights equipped with FSM special light color highlights the inherent strong hue of the fresh meat, as it takes out the saturated red shades. For lighting cheese and natural juices, we used track-mounted Caster spotlights with BVF special light color. Their 30° narrow-angle beams ensure an optimal focus on the products and avoid interference with the other special colors in this area. This type of special light color highlights the appealing yellow shades of the cheese products, natural fruit juices, and tasty salads. The highest average illumination level in the store – up to 1000 lx, is in the fruits & vegetable area and the Râureni canned-products corner, where shoppers take the time to study the brightly colored merchandise. For the accent lighting is this area we used the special light color AGI 3500K, equipped on the Caster spotlight. This way, the natural variety of colors of the fruits and vegetables will look fresh regardless of the season and their color because AGI has the capacity to highlight the whole color palette. Râureni canned-products corner enjoys a warm, welcoming light provided by the Caster spotlights with special light color AGI 3000K. The 60° angle beam contributes to the uniform distribution of light throughout the surface, and the special color highlights the shimmering hues of the jams and compotes in each jar. For the general lighting of the shelves area, we used our Lanka trunking system with double asymmetric angle beams that focuses the light beam on the shelves, avoiding wasted light on the floor. The average vertical illumination level on the merchandise placed on the shelves is 400 lx. For general illumination, we used Lenyk TRK with 3000K for lighting parts of the corridors, without interfering with the special light colors areas nearby. Lenyk TRK is a flexible linear luminaire with individual lenses that precisely targets the desired objects and areas, no matter the mounting height. This means little-wasted light, and therefore, lower energy usage. The linear luminaires also underline the openness and the transparency of the entire store concept. In this retail supermarket design, the spotlights and luminaires mounted on tracks are not only attractive, but they also give the lighting system a consistent look.

Selgros Cash & Carry Germany

Selgros Cash & Carry is one of the leading cash & carry providers in Germany. Its stores offer over 67,000 food and non-food items and fulfill the needs of more than 1,6 million customers every year. The new competitive edge for retailers is customer experience, especially in the fresh food sector, so our aim with this illumination project was to enhance the way people perceive the merchandise. Greentek designed and implemented a LED lighting system that supports and delivers an amazing customer experience for over 8 Selgros stores in Germany. For this purpose, we used special light colors for each major food and non-food groups as following: BVF special color for fruit, vegetables, and cheese FBS special color for fresh bread, pastries, and wine FSH for fresh fish and seafood and FSM and FZM special colors for fresh meat and frozen meat, respectively FAS for clothing, shoes and accessories Chase and Caster are the track luminaires that we used in the lighting concept of Selgros.  These luminaires can be equipped with special color lights in order to enhance the produce vividness freshness. For Selgros Leipzig, we used Caster - a track mounted spotlight with 3000K. Caster has the advantage of being easy to adjust at 350 degrees and 90-degree tilt. Moreover, it's easy to be moved around the track and to adjust its direction and the tilt without specialized help. For Selgros Norderstedt, we also used Chase luminaire. Chase is mounted on a black track and can be rotated through 350-degree and pivoted through 90-degree as well. For general illumination in the stores, we used Galaxy Blade, with 4000K. Galaxy Blade comes with wide range of beams - depending on the shelving and aisles layout. For the high shelving area, where non-food products are displayed - we used Lanka IL luminaires. Lanka is a trunking system luminaire with individual lenses and double-asymmetric distribution. This means that the beam of light is directed precisely towards the merchandise on display, instead of being wasted on the floor. All the dry food and beverages aisles received two types of luminaires, specially designed for these areas, CRI and CRE. These long luminaires successfully replace the typical fluorescent tubes lining the shelves. CRE is mounted on the outside part of the shelf and illuminate the opposite shelf. CRI is mounted on the inside part of the shelves and illuminates the shelf from a perspective that's invisible to the customer.

FrischeParadies

FrischeParadies, the exquisite shop, is the place to be for restaurateurs, hobby chefs, and food lovers, offering over 12,000 products from 70 countries. Basically, FrischeParadies is where one can shop for a wide range of fine ingredients, and Leipzig has now one of the ten delicacies markets located in Germany and Austria. Greentek designed and implemented a lighting concept that improves the customer experience of FrischeParadies’ customers and raises the brand's value. For the general lighting in the shop, we used Chase track spotlights, with 3000K and different optics of 60 and 90 degrees for a larger spread of light across the whole area. For accent lighting – the kind of lighting that creates contrast and points of focus that attracts shoppers’ eyes, we used a full range of special colors, each tailored to the predominant color of the food group: BVF special color for fruit, vegetables, pasta and cheese which enhances warm tones FBS special color for fresh bread, pastries, and wine, that brings out the yellow shades FSH for fresh fish and seafood and, which adds a cool tone to flesh and skin FSM and FZM special colors for fresh meat and frozen meat, respectively The special colors were installed on black track spotlights - Chase, with an angle of 60 degrees. Track spotlights are easily adjustable at 350 degrees, have a 90-degree tilt and require very little technical effort to maneuver: they can be easily moved in order to adjust the direction and the tilt of the beam without specialized help. For the fresh fish and seafood area, the heart of every FrischeParadise shop, we chose the special color FSH for Chase and a 45-degree angle, to precisely aim the beam towards various fish displays on ice beds. We completed the lighting design with Raylan spotlights, a recessed directional spotlight that blends unobtrusively into the ceiling, has high flexibility, and a narrow beam of 45 degrees. The appealing bistro area stands out thanks to the contrast between the warm atmosphere, the light wooden furniture, the pastel painted walls and the black color accents. The ambiance has been achieved using the recessed Raylan spotlights with a narrow beam of 45 degrees, which focuses the light straight on the black menus and the appliances area. In the cash desk area, we chose Artus suspended luminaire - with 3000K and a wide beam of 110 degrees mounted on a black track, for a mellow, pleasant light, that creates comfort for the workers and the customers. The result of this light design work and implementation is a shop which creates an experience that stands out from the traditional food shopping: black ceilings, dark floors, black luminaries and special colors – all create an aura of preciousness and exclusivity.

Selgros Cash & Carry Small Concept Store

Selgros Cash & Carry, part of Transgourmet Holding launched in 2016 a new store concept, with a smaller footprint of about 5,000 sqm and a totally new design – much friendlier, colorful and approachable than the traditional hypermarket concept. As Transgourmet Holding lighting provider, Greentek raised to the task and designed and implemented a lighting concept that created a totally new customer experience for Selgros customers. The center piece of the lighting system were the special light colors for each major fresh food group: BVF special color for fruit, vegetables and cheese FBS special color for fresh bread, pastries and wine FSH for fresh fish and seafood and FSM and FZM special colors for fresh meat and frozen meat, respectively These special color lights were installed into track luminaires – Caster, all with an angle of 45 degrees. Track luminaires have the advantage of being highly flexible, they are adjustable at 350 degrees with a 90-degree tilt. Thus, the retailer has the freedom to move produce display around and simply adjust the direction and the tilt of the luminaire without specialized help. For general illumination, we used Galaxy Blade – with a 4000K and 120W pack. For high shelving areas, such as cosmetics, books, toys and non-food products – Lanka was used. Lanka is a trunking system luminaire with asymmetric distribution lenses This means that the beam of light is directed precisely towards the merchandise on display, instead of being wasted on the floor. For beverages and dry-food aisles we designed especially for this task – two types of luminaires, CRI and CRE. These are long luminaires that replace the typical fluorescent tubes lining the shelves. CRI is mounted on the inside of the shelf, thus illuminating the merchandise without a visible light source for the shopper. CRE is mounted on the outside of the shelf. For the refrigerators and freezers Greentek used five types of linear luminaires with five types of special colors, depending on the merchandise on display.
